Zaporizzhia region: SBU prevents alienation of property by raiders (video)

In city of Zaporizzhia, the SBU prevented the embezzlement of corporate rights and property of enterprises by a raider group for more than UAH 200 million (USD 7,142,858).

Allegedly, the group of almost ten members, including private notaries from Zaporizzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions, planned to seize the property complexes of several commercial entities, in particular, agro-industrial enterprises.

SBU officers documented the first illegal re-registration of property for UAH 1 million (USD 35,715). Thus, the property was issued to a front person using forged documents and seals. Afterwards, the notary illegally amended the relevant registers. The Court seized the property.

According to intelligence, the suspects intended to appropriate three large property complexes.

During a number of searches, law enforcement officers confiscated forged state agency seals, powers of attorney and Ukrainian passports, as well as equipment for making the forged documents.

Within the initiated criminal proceedings, four active group members received suspicion notices of misappropriation of property, fraud, forgery and sale of documents, seals, stamps and forms. The issue of choosing a type of detention is being settled. Currently, one of the masterminds is hiding from justice.

Investigative actions are ongoing to prosecute all the involved persons.

The operation was carried out jointly with the Main National Police Department in Zaporizzhia region under the procedural supervision of the Regional Prosecutor's Office.
