The Coordination Group of the SBU Anti-Terrorist Center in Zaporizzhya region conducted counter-terrorist tactical and special drills in Berdyansk and Melitopol cities.

The SBU, the National Guard, the National Police, the State Emergency Service, the representatives of state executive bodies and local self-government joined the trainings, which took place in close-to-real conditions.

According to the scenario, several subversion and reconnaissance groups arrived in the region, planning to commit “terrorist and subversive attacks” at critical infrastructure facilities. The task of the “offenders” was also to destabilize the regional situation.

During the training, the participants proved their readiness to counteract terrorist and subversive actions, in extreme conditions as well. They performed the tasks of detecting and neutralizing “subversion and reconnaissance groups”, disposal of “explosive devices” in crowded places and at critical infrastructure facilities.

After analyzing in detail each stage of the drills, the leadership noted the high level of readiness of the units. They also instructed the participants on improving the algorithms for preventing, detecting and neutralizing relevant threats.
