During special operation, the SBU Main Department of Internal Security detained a foreign drug dealer in the city of Zaporizzhia on attempt to discredit an SBU operative.

The SBU documented that the foreigner incited the perpetrators to plant illegal drugs to the SBU officer. Therefore, the employee of the special service interfered in the foreigner’s drug trafficking. After planting narcotic substances, the drug dealer was going to turn over the SBU officer to other law enforcement agencies.

Law enforcement officers detained the suspect during illegal trafficking of psychotropics to the perpetrator in order to discredit him.

The detainee was served a suspicion notice of knowingly false reporting a crime with creation of artificial evidence of the prosecution and selling of psychotropic substances. He received a custody as a type of detention without bail.

The pre-trial investigation is underway.

The operation was conducted under the supervision of the Zaporizzhia Region Prosecutor’s Office.
