Already in late March they equipped him with a machine gun and 4 magazines with ammunition, put him in a ‘BMP’ [infantry fighting vehicle] together with other ‘recruits’ and took them to the front. Without bulletproof vests. What for?

They got hit already on the way. The surviving ‘soldier’ hoped that they would be sent away from the front. But they, ‘wounded and beaten’, were simply transferred to another ‘BMP’ and taken further. Because they were supposed to be expendable. Their lives were not part of the occupiers' plans.
