Dear Ukrainians, Friends and Colleagues!

Over the years of war, the Day of Defenders of Ukraine has become more than just a public holiday for all of us. We all feel it in our hearts – as special gratitude to those who are fighting and defending us from the russian horde, as well as a symbol of an unconditional faith in our Victory.

Every Ukrainian is well aware that the price of this battle is life and freedom, the future of our country. That is why today, without exaggeration, our entire nation is creating a new history of independent Ukraine.

The war with russia did not begin in 2022 or in 2014. It has been going on for centuries. But it is in our generation’s destiny to put an end to it. And we will definitely do it!

Together with our brothers-in-arms, the Security Service of Ukraine is making a significant contribution to the Victory: we fight the enemy not only inside the country, but also on the battlefield. We are also gradually taking the war to russia’s territory. Now, military airfields are regularly burning, and arsenals of weapons are blown up, while the numbers of enemy losses, both equipment and personnel, are constantly increasing.

All this is the result of extraordinary efforts and courage of the servicemen of Ukraine’s Defence Forces, who love their country with boundless devotion and are ready to give their all for it.

We honour the memory of our best sons and daughters who died in the war. And we are fighting for all those who are waiting for liberation from russian captivity.

By defending their identity, Ukrainians have already become a nation of Heroes. And every inch of our land is a place of heroism. Earlier we knew our Heroes mainly from history, today they are fighting side by side with us.

I congratulate you on this occasion, dear sworn brothers and sisters! May our efforts for Victory be crowned with success as soon as possible!
