Russian authorities use their army of convicts as ‘cannon fodder’ to scout Ukrainian positions on frontline (video)

Recruiting convicts at russian prisons, the head of the PMC Wagner promised them that they would be able to ‘wash off their sins’ with the blood of Ukrainians and receive ‘clean’ documents. But, despite the promises, they are thrown to the front line as ‘cannon fodder’.

Hence, some ‘volunteers’, like this prisoner interrogated by the SSU, ‘fought’ in Ukraine just for 2 days – arriving on September 21, taken prisoner the next day.

‘We’re used as cannon fodder. Our commander sent us forward, at first we walked together, and then I looked back - they were very far away. The usual cannon fodder: to know where which positions are, who’s standing where... We’re like cannon fodder... When they were recruiting us, they told us a completely different story,’ the captive confesses.

According to him, they were recruited personally by the head of PMC Wagner Prigozhyn. He said that the convicts would fight side by side with ‘experienced’ military who would teach them everything, and that they would not be sent to the front line.

So, 267 out of 1,200 prisoners immediately agreed to be ‘mobilized’.

In a few days, the occupier realized that ‘it’s not like this at all here’ and that he would survive only if surrendered.
