SSU seizes assets of sanctioned oligarch Novinsky worth over UAH 144 mln
Following the SSU’s investigation, the court seized 18 million cubic meters of gas, which the companies of pro-russian oligarch Vadym Novynskyi stored in storage facilities of JSC Ukrtransgaz and tried to alienate for the benefit of third parties to avoid the NSDC’s sanctions.
The total value of the seized natural gas is over UAH 144 mln (USD 3.7 mln).
To avoid the NSDC sanctions, Novinsky re-registered his gas production companies to several affiliates directly linked to russia.
The oligarch used private notaries and state registrars under his control to implement the scheme.
However, the SSU exposed the unlawful activity and blocked it.
The proceeding was opened under Article 111-2 (aiding the aggressor state); investigation is underway.
The SSU is working on the case under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
