SSU seizes property of Yanukovych’s bodyguard worth UAH 50 mln
Based on the SSU’s investigation, all the property of the head of security of the fugitive president Viktor Yanukovych has been seized.
The court decision pertains to:
- an elite hotel complex in Bukovel with a total area of over 1,200 square meters;
- an apartment in downtown Kyiv with a total area of over 200 square meters;
- two parking lots in the capital;
- 5 land plots with a total area of over 1 hectare in Kyiv oblast, in Yalta and Ivano-Frankivsk region.
The total value of the arrested assets is almost UAH 50 mln (USD 1.3 mln).
The SSU is verifying the involvement of the owner of the assets in financing russian occupation forces in the war against Ukraine.
In addition, during the searches in the guard’s apartment in Kyiv, the SSU found:
- 13 weapons, including collector’s items;
- over 5,600 rounds of ammunition;
- mobile phones, computers, documents and draft records with evidence of illegal activity.
Criminal proceeding was opened under the Article 110-2.4 of the CCU (financing of actions committed with the aim of forceful change or overthrow of constitutional order or seizure of state power, change of boundaries of the territory or state border of Ukraine). The investigation is ongoing.

The investigation is conducted under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
