SBU shuts down call centers providing commercial services to Russian companies

The SBU cyber specialists blocked the activity of call center network in the cities of Kropyvnytskyi and Kryvyi Rih. The organizers provided remote services to commercial entities incorporated at the aggressor country and the temporarily occupied AR of Crimea, including the sanctioned company Yandex.

The operators of the call centers collected personal data, payment card details and means of access to bank accounts, electronic money and electronic payment systems of their Ukrainian clients. The SBU is checking whether the above databases were transferred to customers from the aggressor country.

The SBU documented that the call centers were not registered in Ukraine as business entities. In this way, they evaded paying taxes and mandatory payments to the state budget.

The organizers involved up to 150 operators who worked in two shifts.

During searches of the call-centers offices, the law enforcement seized:

  • more than 100 magnetic data carriers;
  • 120 personal computers with Yandex software;
  • four servers;
  • documents, certificates and licenses issued by Russian fiscal authorities

One of the organizers of the call-centers received the suspicion notice of illegal actions in respect of remittance documents, payment cards and other means providing access to bank accounts. The type of detention has already been chosen.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.

The operation was carried out by the SBU Office in Kirovohrad region, together with investigators of the National Police in Kirovohrad region, under the supervision of the Kropyvnytskyi District Prosecutor's Office.
