SBU stops illegal supply of goods to AR of Crimea
SBU documented illegal supply of goods to the temporarily occupied territory of the AR of Crimea by a leading Ukrainian ceramics company.
SBU operatives established that the goods were smuggled to a subsidiary company, controlled by Ukrainian manufacturers in Russia, in accordance with foreign economic contracts. Afterwards, the suspects imported goods into the illegally annexed Crimea through a well-developed logistics system. The suspects sold goods on the territory of the occupied peninsula via illegally created entities.
During searches of the company's offices and production sites in Kyiv and Kharkiv, law enforcement officers found documents and data storage devices proving the illegal activity. It was established that the company’s management made decisions to create the subsidiary company in the AR of Crimea pursuant to Russian law. Moreover, the SBU found evidence of keeping of accounting records and tax payments to the Russian budget, as well as the establishment of trade network to sell their produce.
Investigation is ongoing.
The operation was conducted within the criminal proceedings initiated upon trespass against territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of the AR of Crimea and Sevastopol city.
