Cyber units of the Security Service of Ukraine and Kyivstar team, together with government agencies, continue to restore the network after yesterday’s hacker attack.

Preliminarily, the company plans to restore fixed-line Internet for households on 13 December and start launching mobile communication and internet services.

Kyivstar's digital infrastructure was critically damaged; it will take time to restore all services in compliance with the necessary security protocols.

A russian pseudo-hacker group has already claimed responsibility for the attack. It is a hacker unit of the main directorate of the general staff of the russian armed forces (the GRU), which in this way is publicly legalizing its criminal activities.

The SSU continues to document russia’s cyberattack on Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure as another war crime of ruscists.
