SSU and SBI detain top enemy collaborator in liberated Kupiansk who collected ‘taxes’ from locals for russia
The traitor is a local resident and a serving employee of the tax authorities of Ukraine. Since the pre-war times, the woman has been holding the position of the Chief State Inspector of Kupiansk Division of Taxes and Fees of the Main Department of the State Tax Service in Kharkiv region.
The investigation established that during the occupation she defected to the enemy and started to work in the so-called ‘tax service of Kharkov military and civil administration’ as a middle manager.
At her new position, the traitor met with local entrepreneurs to persuade them to pay taxes for the benefit of russian occupation forces.
The collaborator also tried to prompt her colleagues who stayed under the occupation to side with the enemy and start working in the newly established ‘tax authorities.’
During the investigation, the SSU found and seized official documents of the fake ‘tax service’, which prove the woman’s criminal cooperation with ruscists.
The SSU and the State Bureau of Investigations detained the traitor in the de-occupied Kupiansk.
The offender has been notified of suspicion of high treason under martial law (Article 111.2 of the CCU). The crime is punishable by 15 years in prison or life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
Court is to decide on custody as a measure of restraint.
The SSU Office in Kharkiv region exposed the traitor jointly with the SBI under the procedural supervision of Kharkiv Region Prosecutor’s Office.
