SSU identifies collaborators who initiated ‘annexation’ of Luhansk region to russia: ‘LNR’ representative at Minsk negotiations among them

The SSU has exposed more organizers of sham referenda in the temporarily occupied territories of eastern Ukraine.

As a result of operational and investigative efforts, the SSU identified another two ‘members of the LNR’s people’s council’, who were preparing the ‘legislation’ for the fake plebiscite in the occupied districts of Luhansk region.

In September 2022, the two women facilitated the ‘voting’ for the pseudo-law on the region’s ‘accession’ to the aggressor state.

Then, the collaborators sent an ‘urgent appeal’ to the terrorist leader Pasichnyk demanding immediate signing of the unlawful document.

The investigation established that one of the offenders had previously represented the so-called ‘LNR’ in the Trilateral Contact Group on peaceful settlement of the situation in eastern Ukraine and had been involved in the development of ‘Minsk agreements’.

Another exposed ‘official’ is a representative of ‘Luhansk territorial election commission’, who was engaged in falsification of the sham referendum results.

According to the investigation, all three collaborators began to cooperate with the local occupation administration in 2014.

While in their ‘positions’, they contributed to the spread of kremlin regime in the region and supported the illegal armed formations fighting against Ukrainian troops.

When russia launched its full-scale invasion, the collaborators began an extensive campaign in support of the fake referendum.

During mass events, they personally urged people to come to the ‘polling stations’ and ‘vote’ in favour of the aggressor state.

For this, they promised ‘LNR passports’ and russian pensions.

SSU investigators have notified the three women of suspicion under the Articles of the CCU:

  • 111-1.5 (collaboration);
  • 110.2 (encroachment on Ukraine’s territorial integrity and inviolability).

To avoid justice, the enemy accomplices are hiding in the temporarily occupied territory.

However, the SSU established their locations and is acting to bring the offenders to justice for crimes against Ukraine.

The SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions carried out the investigation under the procedural supervision of Luhansk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
