SSU identifies collaborators who initiated ‘accession’ of Donetsk region to russia

The SSU exposed more organizers of the sham referenda in the temporarily occupied territories of the south and east of our country.

SSU investigators identified 12 representatives of the ‘dnr civic chamber’ set up by the aggressor.

This occupation entity performed key kremlin tasks to prepare and conduct an unlawful plebiscite in the captured areas of Donetsk region.

It included collaborators from local administrations and businesspersons who voluntarily agreed to work for russia’s budget.

Under the guise of ‘civil’ initiatives, they helped moscow in concealing criminal decisions to seize this eastern region of Ukraine.

It was they who sent an ‘urgent appeal’ to the terrorist leader Pushylin demanding immediate separation of the region from Ukraine and its further accession to russia.

Before preparing the ‘appeal’, the criminals organized a mass campaign among locals in support of the aggressor state. kremlin propagandists and enemy information resources actively participated in the ‘events’.

SSU investigators notified all twelve offenders of suspicion under the Articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

  • 110.2 (encroachment on Ukraine’s territorial integrity and inviolability);
  • 111-1.5 (collaboration).

The suspects will be declared wanted for crimes against our state.

In total, the SSU exposed and served notices of suspicion to almost 70 organizers of the sham referendum in Donetsk region.

The SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions carried out the investigation under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office.
