SSU identifies more organizers of sham referendum in southern Ukraine

The SSU continues to expose traitors and collaborators in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. Investigators have identified another eight organizers of illegal ‘referenda’ in the temporarily occupied districts of Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.

The offenders voluntarily cooperated with the enemy and joined the local occupation administrations, where their task was to fabricate results of the fake plebiscite.

For example, in Kherson region the SSU documented the criminal activity of seven residents of Henichesk district, who accepted the enemy ‘offer’ to head the so-called ‘election commissions’ in the district center and Novooleksiivka village.

While in their ‘positions’, they were preparing the sham referendum.

It was established that the collaborators organized the operation of illegal ‘polling stations’, selecting ‘personnel’ and providing them with office equipment.

The enemy accomplices also formed the so-called ‘voter registers’, in which they ‘entered’ citizens who left the region. In this way, they artificially ‘increased the turnout’ and the number of votes at the fake event.

Based on the collected evidence, SSU investigators notified the offenders of suspicion in absentia of crimes under Articles of the CCU:

  • 28.2 (committing criminal offence in a group, upon prior conspiracy);
  • 111-1.5 (collaboration).

Another accomplice of the aggressors was exposed on organizing the pseudo-referendum on the Kinburn Spit in Mykolaiv region.

According to the investigation, the collaborator is an active pro-kremlin supporter, who joined russian invaders at the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

During the sham referendum, he was actively commenting on its falsified ‘results’ for propaganda websites and Telegram channels.

The offender is currently hiding from justice in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

The SSU has established the location of all collaborators, their routes and contacts. The efforts to bring them to justice for crimes against Ukraine are underway.

The SSU Offices in Kherson and Mykolaiv regions are carrying out the investigations under the procedural supervision of regional Prosecutor’s Offices.
