SSU identifies more traitors who joined russia’s punitive body in Kherson region

The SSU continues to expose traitors and collaborators who cooperate with the aggressor in the occupied areas of southern Ukraine. As a result of investigations, the SSU served notices of suspicion to 8 enemy accomplices, who voluntarily joined ‘Kherson regional directorate of the ministry of internal affairs’ established by the occupiers.

The pseudo-entity performs the kremlin’s tasks to suppress the resistance movement and intimidate local population. To do this, they use a whole arsenal of punitive and repressive measures, including abduction, illegal detention and torture.

Under the guise of searches, the traitors loot homes of local residents, stealing money, household appliances and other personal belongings.

To select and recruit ‘staff’, the leadership of the occupation body uses personal connections, including among former law enforcement officers. At the same time, each ‘candidate’ has to be approved by russian special services.

The SSU served notices of suspicion of high treason committed under martial law (Article 111.2 of the CCU) to the newly appointed ‘officials of the ministry of internal affairs directorate’:

  • chief of criminal investigation department;
  • deputy chief of personnel department;
  • deputy chief of duty unit;
  • deputy chief of organizational and methodological department;
  • senior operative of department for combating organized crime;
  • investigator of investigative department;
  • operative of department for combating organized crime;
  • operative of department for search of criminals and missing persons.

The SSU has established their locations and routes of movement and is acting to bring the traitors to justice for crimes against Ukraine.

The investigation was carried out by the SSU jointly with the Internal Security Department of the National Police under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
