SSU identifies another ‘LNR people’s council member’ who ‘voted’ for sham referendum in Luhansk region

The SSU continues to expose traitors and collaborators in the temporarily occupied territories of eastern and southern Ukraine.

As a result of operational and investigative efforts, the SSU identified another enemy accomplice, who participated in the organization of the sham referendum in the occupied areas of Luhansk oblast.

The offender is a local resident who joined the ‘LNR’ terrorist organization in 2018.

There, he became a member of the local occupation administration and was appointed a ‘deputy of the people’s council’.

After the full-scale invasion, the individual carried out moscow’s instructions to hold a fake plebiscite on the region’s ‘accession’ to russia.

For this purpose, he publicly supported the ‘appeal’ to the terrorist leader Pasichnyk.

The collaborator personally agitated people to ‘vote’ in favor of the aggressor state and organized propaganda events in support of russian invaders.

Based on the collected evidence, SSU investigators notified the offender of suspicion under the Articles of the CCU:

  • 111-1.5 (collaboration);
  • 110.2 (encroachment on Ukraine’s territorial integrity and inviolability).

The suspect is currently hiding in the temporarily occupied territory of eastern Ukraine.

However, the SSU has established his location, routes of movement and list of contacts and is acting to bring the suspect to prosecution.

The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Luhansk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
