SSU shuts down 14 new schemes of illegal departure abroad
The SSU has blocked another 14 schemes of mobilization evasion.
As a result of operational and investigative activities, 34 organizers of such channels have been declared suspects.
They offered men of call-up age to travel abroad using fake documents or bypassing checkpoints.
The cost of such ‘services’ ranged from 2,000 to 13,500 USD. The amount depended on the client’s area of residence and urgency of the escape.
In Zaporizhzhia:
The SSU Internal Security exposed a criminal group specializing in unlawful issuance of disability certificates for men of military age.
The suspects include a doctor of a local private clinic and three of his accomplices.
In Vinnytsia oblast:
The law enforcement agencies identified five Vinnytsia residents who falsified certificates of the military and medical commission, temporary certificates of persons liable for military service and other documents.
For this purpose, they were using fake seals and stamps of various government agencies and private organizations.
In Dnipro:
Three residents were detained for helping evaders obtain fake medical certificates of unfitness for military service.
In Kirovohrad oblast:
The law enforcement agencies neutralized criminal activity of a local charity foundation. They offered people liable for military service to travel to the EU posing as drivers of humanitarian cargo transport.
To do this, the offenders entered false information into the Shliakh electronic system.
The SSU Military Counterintelligence uncovered another 10 facts of smuggling draft evaders abroad. The schemes operated in Volyn, Zakarpattia, Odesa and Chernivtsi oblasts.
The persons involved in the described offences have been notified of suspicion under the Article 332 of the CCU (illegal transportation of persons across Ukraine’s state border). The investigations are ongoing.
The activities were conducted jointly with the National Police under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office.
