SSU shuts down another four mobilization evasion schemes

The SSU has blocked another 4 schemes used by men of conscription age to evade mobilization and illegally depart from Ukraine.

Organizers were detained in several regions of Ukraine.

For money, they offered men to hide from mobilization using counterfeit medical reports and certificates of members of NGOs.

The cost of such ‘services’ reached USD 6,000.

In Poltava:

a local resident was detained for selling membership cards of an anti-corruption NGO to draft evaders.

According to the investigation, the fake documents looked like a law enforcement officer’s ID.

The ‘package’ included instructions for ‘clients’ to use the fake document when communicating with military enlistment office officials in order to evade the call-up.

In Zhytomyr region:

A local resident was detained for offering draft evaders to arrange their exemption from mobilization or ‘write them off’ from the military register for health reasons.

In Ivano-Frankivsk region:

The law enforcement agencies uncovered a head of a transport company who fictitiously employed draft evaders in his company.

He entered their personal data into the Shliakh system to enable them to cross the border as drivers of on international trips.

In Rivne region:

Another mobilization evasion channel has been shut down. A head of a local freight transport company organized the illegal ‘traffic’.

Together with three accomplices, he looked for draft dodgers and employed them as truck drivers travelling to EU states.

Investigations are ongoing.

The operational and investigative actions were carried out jointly with the National Police under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office.
