SSU dismantles enemy’s networks that carried out cyber-attacks and information sabotage against Ukraine (video)

The SSU has carried out large-scale special operations to expose Russian agents in various regions. Among the detained is the organizer of the bot farm, which attacked electronic systems of Ukrainian authorities, and an ‘expert’ who worked for money from Russia.

In Zhytomyr region:

The SSU exposed a bot farm of Russian special services, which was used to carry out large-scale cyber-attacks on state information resources. Tens of thousands of fake accounts were used for this purpose.

The bots also attacked electronic systems of critical infrastructure facilities.

In Kyiv:

The SSU detained an ‘energy expert’ who was spreading Kremlin’s propaganda and discrediting Ukraine on international arena.

He did this on air of sanctioned TV channels and through popular Telegram channels. At the same time, he worked closely with the Russian news agency Russia Today.

The ‘expert’ received instructions from a Russian handler from the temporarily occupied Crimea and millions of ‘fees’ - from Russia, through electronic payment systems banned in Ukraine.

During the searches, the law enforcement found:

  • communication devices;
  • computer equipment and flash drives with evidence of criminal activity;
  • UAH 3 mln in cash (USD 100,000), which he received for information sabotage.

In Kyiv, the SSU also detained one of the organizers of a Russian agent network. The traitor tried to form a group of agitators who were to spread ruscist narratives in information space.

He also collected intelligence for the enemy on the deployment and relocation of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kyiv region.

In Kirovohrad region:

The SSU detained an official of an administrative court, who publicly called for seizure of state power in Ukraine and justified Russian aggression. He spread enemy’s narratives through fake profiles in social media.

In Cherkasy region:

The SSU exposed two Russian agents. The collaborators disseminated disinformation about the situation at the front, justified bombing of Ukrainian cities and killing of civilians, including in Mariupol. They did this in social media using ‘Z’ symbols.

Upon the uncovered crimes, the SSU is carrying out comprehensive measures to identify all those involved in the aggression against Ukraine.
