SSU neutralizes network of enemy’s artillery observers and collaborator who prepared ‘lists’ of Ukrainians for execution
During special operations in various regions of Ukraine, the SSU dismantled new agent networks of occupiers and documented the crimes of former local government officials in the East who cooperated with the enemy.
In Dnipropetrovsk region:
The SSU exposed an agent of Russian special services, who was collecting intelligence on the location of strategically important facilities and military units in the region.
He passed on their coordinates to Russian handlers through well-established communication channels and a close relative living in the temporarily occupied Donetsk region:
The enemy used the intelligence for missile strikes on the territory of Dnipropetrovsk region.
The SSU detained the agent while he was collecting information on a military facility at which the occupiers planned to strike with missiles.
In Sumy:
The chairman of one of civilian organizations turned out to be an agent of Russian special services.
The collaborator tried to hand over to the occupiers lists with personal data of Ukrainian patriots, including members of local Territorial Defence.
The occupiers planned to use this information to abduct, torture and kill Ukrainians, and to suppress national resistance in the region.
The SSU Special Purpose Unit detained the traitor while he was carrying out the aggressors’ assignment.
In Donetsk region:
The SSU detained two informants of the enemy. They carried out reconnaissance on location and movement of Ukrainian troops.
They passed the collected intelligence to their supervisors through messenger apps.
It has been established that one of their ‘liaisons’ was the so-called ‘member of the DNR People’s Council.’
In addition, the SSU continues to document criminal activities of collaborators in the temporarily occupied territory of our state. Among them are ex-officials of local government in Eastern Ukraine.
In particular, former head of the Stanytsia-Luhanska village community has defected to the enemy. It has been established that the traitor contributed to the establishment of the occupation regime in the area and the so-called ‘passportization of the LNR’.
He also organized the illegal reregistration of critical infrastructure facilities for the Russian aggressors.
For this, the occupiers ‘guaranteed’ that the collaborator would be appointed ‘head of Stanychno-Luhansk district administration of the LNR’.
The SSU is also documenting the crimes of the so-called ‘chairman of Volnovakha Town Council of the DNR’ and one of the local members of OPZZh (Opposition Platform – For Life political party), who headed ‘Vilne Village Council’ under Russian occupation administration.
The traitors are facing up to 15 years in prison or life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
