SBU cyber experts exposed an extensive network of hostile instigators. The offenders distributed online calls to change the state borders and seize power in Ukraine.

The instigators were instructed to conduct cyber subversion and information operations by their Russian handlers.

During searches of offenders’ residences, law enforcement officers found computer equipment and means of communication with evidence of illegal activities.

In Zakarpattia region:

An official of the State Emergency Service was exposed posting calls to violate the territorial integrity of Ukraine in social media.

The SBU initiated a linguistic examination which confirmed illegal actions.

The offender was issued a suspicion notice for encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine.

In Kyiv region:

The SBU blocked an illegal activity of a resident of the town of Brovary promoting an aggressive war.

In Odesa region:

A local agent of a hostile network was exposed. The offender instigated to change the state borders and seize the power in Ukraine. He distributed his content through online resources controlled by LNR/DNR IAF leaders.

In Lviv region:

The SBU exposed an online instigator distributing destructive content on the eve of the Day of the Baptism of Kyivan Rus. His posts violated the equality of citizens destabilizing the social and political situation in the region.

In Vinnytsia region:

A local resident administered several anti-Ukrainian communities in social networks. The offender called for coup d’état and violation of Ukraine's territorial integrity.

The SBU is proactive in dealing with state security threats related to information and subversive activities of foreign intelligence services.
