SBU neutralizes new network of pro-Russian online agents calling for aggressive war

SBU cyber experts blocked activity of an interregional network of hostile online-agents. Tasked by Russian handlers, they urged to change the state boundaries and wage an aggressive war.

During the investigation, law enforcement officers found computer equipment, means of communication and draft messages proving illegal activity.

According to findings, in order to disguise contacts with handlers the offenders used international SIM cards.

Kyiv:

A special operation disclosed a coordinator of a Kyiv cyber group calling for violation of the territorial integrity of Ukraine and waging an aggressive war. In addition, offenders were spreading disinformation publishing posts of Russian bloggers.

The group members created 4 websites and 5 social media communities to carry out illegal activities.

Mariupol:

SBU cyber experts exposed a member of a network who posted materials on change of the state boundaries. ORDLO handlers instructed her to conduct information attacks.

Dnipro:

SBU blocked activity of a local online instigator. He used social media urging to violate Ukraine’s territorial integrity and support illegal armed formations.

According to linguistic examination, the discovered materials pose a threat to national security.

Kirovohrad region:

SBU exposed an agitator who called for the forcible change of the constitutional order and the seizure of state power in Ukraine through social media.

Moreover, according to the SBU cyber experts’ findings, a hostile agent was convicted of calling for an aggressive war against Ukraine on global web platforms.

The SBU takes active steps to detect and block attempts of foreign intelligence services to carry out online subversive actions against Ukraine.
