SSU detains russian saboteurs and gives 700 coordinates to Armed Forces of Ukraine for targeted fire at occupiers on eastern front
The SSU is cracking down on saboteurs in front-line areas in eastern Ukraine. In the course of large-scale operations in Kharkiv region over the last week, the SSU exposed over 60 traitors and collaborators who cooperated with the occupiers and justified russia’s armed aggression.
The SSU’s special operations also resulted in obtaining and handing over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine of over 700 coordinates for targeted fire at the invaders’ command posts, sites where personnel and heavy weapons are concentrated, ammunition depots.
The SSU neutralized a group of saboteurs, which included former law enforcement officers. The agents collected intelligence on location of Ukrainian troops and strategic critical infrastructure in the region.
To obtain relevant data, they carried out surveillance, photo and video recording and obtained information through personal connections.
Communication with their russian supervisors was maintained through secure channels.
The occupiers used the intelligence received from these informants for massive missile strikes and artillery shelling of Kharkiv region.
Another assignment of the agents was to prepare acts of sabotage, including explosions in Kharkiv.
The SSU detained members of this group when they were passing information to the invaders near the front line.
The detainees have been notified of suspicion of committing crimes against Ukraine’s state security; the court has decided to keep them in custody.
In the course of this operation, the SSU also uncovered enemy weapon caches. Rocket-propelled anti-tank grenades, automatic weapons, sniper rifles and MON-90 anti-personnel mines have been seized.
The agents planned to use the arsenal for sabotage in border areas of Kharkiv region.
The SSU is acting to neutralize all those involved in reconnaissance and subversive activity against Ukraine.
The SSU Office in Kharkiv region carried out the operation together with the National Police, the Military Law and Order Service, the National Guard and the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
