Collaborator and ex-MP from Party of Regions declared internationally wanted

The SSU has gathered additional evidence and notified a former people’s deputy from the Party of Regions of suspicion of new crimes. In June, he was notified of suspicion of collaboration.

This person is now also suspected of crimes under the Articles of the CCU:

  • 110.1 (trespass against territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine);
  • 161.1 (violation of equal rights of citizens depending on their racial, national, regional belonging, religious beliefs, disability and on other grounds);
  • 111-1.1, 111-1.6 (collaboration);
  • 436 (propaganda of war);
  • 436-2.1 (justification, recognizing as legitimate, denying russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).

The new charges are based on his recent actions and calls for war.

On air of pro-kremlin media, he, as a so-called ‘expert’, publicly called for a change in the boundaries of Ukraine’s territory, denied russia’s aggression and spread narratives about ‘liberators.’

In the course of the investigation, the SSU has completed several examinations and analyzed a vast array of evidence.

The findings confirm that the statements of the person in question contain facts of his subversive activities against Ukraine. His actions, among other things, incite national, racial or religious hatred and humiliate national honor and dignity.

The suspect has been declared internationally wanted and is now banned from entry to civilized countries.
