SBU publishes evidence of bribery and serves suspicion notice to Head of NAU FA (video)
The SBU officers served the new suspicion notice to the Head of the Flight Academy of the National Aviation University for taking a bribe. Receiving a bribe is punishable by imprisonment for a term to ten years.
The new suspicion notice was served to him in a hospital in Kyiv, where the man came from Kropyvytskyi to allegedly rehabilitation.
Allegedly, the perpetrator has strong corruption ties in the region, which gave him the confidence, even taking into account that last week the SBU served the official the suspicion notice, however, judges released the man directly from the courtroom.
The Head of the NAU FA and his intermediary – the Head of the Flight School of the NAU FA are suspected of the extortion of USD 20,000.
The officials extorted money from the director of a local private company to conclude the cooperation agreements with the FA. In case of refusal, the Head of the NAU FA threatened the entrepreneur to destroy his business.
The special service officers detained the intermediary while receiving the full amount of the bribe when he left Kropyvytskyi, he was planning to escape to Kyiv.
The SBU publishes the videos showing the meetings of the perpetrators with the director of the company, from whom they demanded the illegal benefits. The records also show:
- The Head of the FA agrees on bribery scheme on students' study flights
- The defendant is not satisfied with the bribe in the national currency demanding US dollars
- The parties agree on bribes from each stage of student studying
- The Head of the Academy admits that he extorts money from the students
