SBU suspects First Deputy Head of organizing assassination (audio)
The former First Deputy Head of the SBU Dmytro Neskoromnyi was served a notice of suspicion of organizing the assassination of Andrii Naumov, the Head of the SBU Main Department of Internal Security. In particular, he is suspected of trespass against life of law enforcement officer upon prior conspiracy.
The offender is wanted for the interrogation as a suspect and for serving a detention motion.
The SBU Main Investigation Department conducts the investigation of this crime under supervision of the Prosecutor General's Office. The SBU established that Dmytro Neskoromnyi and Yurii Rasiuk, the officer of the SBU Anti-Terrorist Center, decided to kill Andrii Naumov.
Among the evidence are video and photo materials, audio recordings of conversations between Rasiuk, Neskoromnyi and other persons. On these recordings the offenders discuss the organization of the murder and other details.
Allegedly, the main motive for the crime was the fact that Andrii Naumov was an obstacle to the return of Dmytro Neskoromnyi to a high position in the SBU. Naumov also opposed the appointment of certain members of Neskoromnyi's ex-team to the SBU.
The offenders developed a detailed plan of Naumov’s assassination. During October 2020 - January 2021 Rasiuk searched for the principal offenders, ensured their funding and organized surveillance of Naumov. This is also confirmed by the case file and the relevant audio recordings.
Despite the measures taken by the suspects, the SBU officers documented their illegal activities and prevented the crime. During the fund transaction, Rasiuk was detained. On January 23, 2021, the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv City chose a type of detention.
