SSU submits case on anti-Ukrainian network to court

The SSU investigators, under the supervision of the Prosecutor General’s Office, have completed the pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings on the leader of an anti-Ukrainian group.

The suspect called for seizure of state power in Ukraine and provoked mass riots. The individual has been notified of suspicion of crime under Article 109.2 of the CCU (actions aimed at forceful change or overthrow of the constitutional order or take-over of government).

The SSU exposed and detained the suspect in October 2021. It was established that the group held rallies and called for seizure of state power in Ukraine.

To disguise their illegal activity, they posed as activists of civil movement.

Currently, the criminal proceedings with an indictment have been forwarded to one of the district courts of Kyiv. The offence is punishable by up to three years or imprisonment.
