The SSU continues counter-sabotage measures to neutralize the threats of intelligence and subversive activities against Ukraine’s state security. Under enhanced protection of the law enforcement are the strategically important facilities of critical infrastructure and public areas.

The units of the National Police, the National Guard and the State Emergency Service are involved in joint preventive activities.

In Odessa region:

security forces have practiced the algorithms of interagency cooperation in protecting energy facilities along the coastline. The efforts are aimed at improving joint actions to prevent possible terrorist and subversive threats.

In Kherson region:

law enforcement agencies have reinforced protection of Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant and the local navigation lock. In addition, security units are patrolling the adjacent areas round-the-clock.

In Dnipropetrovsk region:

The SSU is taking integrated actions aimed at preventing and exposing attempts to destabilize the situation in the region. The focus of the efforts is strategic industrial and energy facilities, as well as public places.

Therefore, in some areas temporarily restriction of movement of pedestrians and vehicles is possible, as well as verification of IDs, vehicle inspections, etc.

The SSU apologizes for any inconveniences and appeals to citizens to respond appropriately to lawful requests of law enforcement.

The activities are carried out according to the current legislation and with strict observance of human rights and freedoms.

In addition, the SSU urges citizens to be vigilant and immediately inform the law enforcement by phone 0 800 501 482, e-mail: callcenter@ssu.gov.ua or in other convenient way regarding:

  • suspicious individuals who show unreasonable interest in military facilities, government buildings and critical infrastructure facilities, or take photos or videos of these entities;
  • suspicious vehicles or unmanned aerial vehicles, especially near strategically important facilities;
  • detection of suspicious objects or means of destruction.
