SSU serves suspicion notices to 27 ‘members of LNR people’s council’ who organized sham referendum in Luhansk region
The SSU systemically exposes representatives of occupation administrations involved in organizing the illegal referendum in the temporarily occupied areas of eastern Ukraine.
As a result of an investigation, 27 ‘members of the people’s council’ of the terrorist organization ‘LNR’ were notified of suspicion of crimes against Ukraine.
Last September, they voted for the so-called ‘law on a referendum on joining russia as a subject of the russian federation’.
After that, the ‘officials’ publicly called on locals to participate in the fake plebiscite.
According to the investigation, a ‘deputy’ of several ‘convocations’ is suspected of collaboration; he is also the head of the ‘LNR federation of trade unions’ created by the aggressor.
On moscow’s instructions, the ‘official’ ordered heads of trade union organizations to agitate local employees in support of the region’s ‘accession’ to russia.
Another collaborator coordinated the work of illegal ‘election committees’ in the seized towns of Antratsyt district of Luhansk region.
She also personally urged local population to take part in the fake referendum and ‘vote’ in favour of the kremlin.
SSU investigators have now served these and other suspects notices of suspicion under two Articles of the CCU:
- 110.2 (encroachment on Ukraine’s territorial integrity and inviolability);
- 111-1.5 (collaboration).
In total, the SSU has identified over 90 organizers of the fake referendum in Luhansk region.
The suspects are currently in the temporarily occupied part of eastern Ukraine.
The SSU has documented the crimes of the collaborators and is acting to bring them to justice for crimes against our state.
The SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions carried out the investigation under the procedural supervision of Luhansk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
