SSU serves notice of suspicion to russian state duma member, who commanded kadyrovites during assault on Azovstal

The SSU has collected irrefutable evidence proving the guilt of the russian state duma deputy Adam Delimkhanov, who participated in the capture of Mariupol.

The official is a member of Kadyrov’s close circle. On his instructions, Delimkhanov arrived to the temporarily occupied part of Donetsk region when the full-scale invasion began.

There, he headed a group of enemy troops, which included detachments of russia’s national guard and interior ministry units in the Chechen Republic.

From February to May last year, kadyrovites fought under Delimkhanov’s command against Ukrainian Defence Forces on the eastern front.

It was established that kadyrovites had taken an active part in storming of the Azovstal metallurgical plant.

Through his Telegram channel, the russian deputy also disseminated Kadyrov’s propaganda videos, justifying russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine.

Based on the collected evidence, the SSU notified Delimkhanov of suspicion under the two Articles of the CCU:

  • 27.5, 110.3 (aiding in change of the boundaries of the territory and the state border of Ukraine);
  • 436-2.3 (justifying russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, recognizing it as lawful).

Complex efforts to bring the suspect to justice are underway.

The investigation was carried out by the SSU Main Investigation Directorate under the procedural supervision of the Department for Combating Crimes Committed in the Armed Conflict of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
