SSU serves suspicion notice to ex-head of village council in Kyiv region who called on subordinates to surrender to ruscists

The SSU has collected evidence against Oleksandr Kyryzliiev, former head of Chabany village council in Fastiv district, Kyiv region, who justified russia’s armed aggression.

The official had long headed the local branch of the banned party of regions and was known for his pro-kremlin position, which he shared with fellow villagers on many occasions.

On the eve of February 24, 2022, he secretly left for russia through third states.

In the first days of the full-scale invasion, Kyryzliiev called his subordinates and urged them not to join local territorial defence units and not to resist russian troops.

In this way, the enemy accomplice tried to disrupt the defence activities in the community in an effort to help the invaders advance as quickly as possible toward Kyiv.

He also urged his fellow villagers to support the aggressor and help russian occupation groupings with provisions and cantonment.

The offender later continued subversive activities on his Facebook page: he justified the kremlin’s aggressive policy and called the war in Ukraine an ‘internal civil conflict’.

The SSU-initiated linguistic examination confirmed the facts of the official’s criminal actions.

Based on the SSU’s evidence, Chabany village council terminated Kyryzliiev’s powers and dismissed him from his position.

The former village council head has now been notified of suspicion under Article 436-2.3 of the CCU (justification, recognition as lawful, denial of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants committed by an official).

The suspect is hiding in the aggressor state. The SSU is acting to bring him to justice for crimes against Ukraine’s state security. The offender is facing up to 8 years in prison.

The SSU Office in Kyiv and Kyiv region carried out the investigation under the procedural supervision of Kyiv Region Prosecutor’s Office.
