SBU serves suspicion notice to "expert" involved in subversive activities

The SBU served a suspicion notice to a military-political "expert" who conducted pro-Russian subversive activities.

The offender received a suspicion notice of high treason and violation of citizens’ equality based on their race, nationality, or religious preferences.

Currently, the "expert" is detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

Within the pre-trial investigation, the SBU found that a Kyiv resident created network consisting of several web resources (social network communities, YouTube channels), and individual bloggers funded by Russia. The man performed the assigned tasks of Russian curators.

Using the above resources, the agitprop spread content ordered by coordinators from Russian Channel One and News Front agency.

At the same time, the "expert" personally participated in live broadcasts of political talk shows on banned Russian TV channels, fomenting international hatred for systematic monetary rewards.

Reportedly, the suspect’s actions in the media shall be viewed as trespass against territorial integrity, detriment of defense capabilities, and participation in subversive activities against Ukraine.

According to the experts, subversive activity was aimed at the detriment of Ukrainian state security. Psychological and phonoscopic examinations are ongoing to obtain additional evidence of suspect’s premeditation.

Note:

In accordance with Art. 62 of the Ukrainian Constitution, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and shall not be subject to criminal punishment until their guilt is proved through legal procedure by a court verdict of guilty.
