SSU serves suspicion notice to CEO of Ural Airlines who provided civilian aircraft for deployment of russian troops to Ukraine

The SSU continues to expose crimes of russian high-ranking officials involved in the aggressive war against Ukraine.

As a result of an investigation, the SSU collected evidence against Sergey Skuratov, director general of the russian company Ural Airlines.

According to the investigation, the official helped russia’s ministry of defence to transfer occupation groupings towards the Ukrainian border.

For this purpose, he provided 6 civilian aircraft, which were then used to transport russian mobilized servicemen, their weapons and ammunition.

The SSU established that since early October 2022 Skuratov had helped to perform 11 ‘military’ flights to Platov airport in Rostov region.

Subsequently, the occupation units were deployed to Ukraine to participate in warfare on the eastern and southern fronts.

Based on the evidence collected, the SSU notified Skuratov of suspicion under Articles 27.5, 437.2 of the CCU (planning, preparation, unleashing and conducting an aggressive war).

The suspect is facing up to 15 years in prison. Comprehensive efforts to bring him to justice for crimes against Ukraine are underway.

The investigation was carried out under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
