Collaborators helping russia legitimize occupation declared suspects
The SSU has documented unlawful activity of another 5 collaborators who help russian invaders legitimize their ‘authority’ in the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk and Donetsk regions.
The traitors imitate ‘activity’, take part in propaganda events and force the population to obey the ‘new order.’
One of them, a resident of Rubizhne and a former member of the town council from Opposition Platform – For Life party, was appointed ‘deputy head of the administration’ of the temporarily occupied Svatove district.
Another member of a local council, who previously headed the Administrative Services Center, also agreed to the occupiers’ offer to become ‘deputy head of the LNR Markivka district administration’. Currently, she is helping the enemy establish occupation regime in the captured territories.
One more collaborator was appointed the so-called ‘head of life support department of Vesele village, Starobilsk district’. The woman is taking part in propaganda activities and is trying to create a ‘picture of public’s support’ for the invaders.
Another suspect is a resident of Donetsk region, who heads the ‘the DNR Volnovakha district administration.’ During the five months of the town’s occupation, this collaborator became its fourth ‘mayor’.
The former head of the Administrative Services Center of Mangush district, Donetsk region, has also been notified of suspicion. The man betrayed Ukraine and accepted the position of the head of ‘the DNR Mangush village council.’ The pseudo-official is actively helping to establish occupiers’ ‘authority.’
Each of these traitors has been notified of suspicion of collaboration (Article 111-1.5 of the CCU). They face up to 10 years in prison.
The SSU will do everything possible to ensure that every collaborator is held to account.
