The SSU has collected evidence against traitor Roman Besedin, the director of the occupation ‘DNR media holding’. He positions himself as the kremlin’s key mouthpiece in the temporarily occupied Donetsk and publicly calls for physical eradication of all Ukrainian people.

Back in 2018, Besedin voluntarily headed the enemy ‘media holding’, registered in russia and uniting all the print media in the occupied part of Donetsk oblast.

The traitor is a member of the terrorist Pushilin’s inner circle, and the latter personally supported his appointment to the pro-kremlin propaganda outlet.

After the full-scale invasion began, the holding’s head was one of the first to launch a broad campaign in support of the ‘accession’ of the occupied Donbas to russia.

To do this, he instructed his subordinate propagandists to actively cover russia’s ‘passportization’ of local population and make fake publications on the 2022 sham referendum.

Besedin also used the media outlets under his control to spread calls for participation in russia’s illegal elections in September this year.

The enemy propagandist used the same resources to campaign for the kremlin’s puppet ‘candidates’ and ‘inform’ on the falsified results of the fake vote.

Based on the evidence collected, SSU investigators notified the individual in question of suspicion under seven Articles of the CCU:

• 109.3 (actions aimed at forceful change or overthrow of constitutional order or seizure of state power);
• 110.2 (encroachment on Ukraine’s territorial integrity and inviolability);
• 111.1 (high treason);
• 111-1.1, 111-1.5 (collaboration);
• 111-2.1 (aiding the aggressor state);
• 258-3.1 (participation in a terrorist group or terrorist organization);
• 436-2.3 (justification, recognition as lawful, denial of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).

The traitor is in the temporarily occupied part of Ukraine. Comprehensive efforts are underway to bring him to justice for crimes against Ukraine.

The SSU carried out the investigation under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
