SSU serves notice of suspicion to head of occupation camps where ruscists train children to fight against Ukraine

The SSU has collected evidence against another war criminal from russia, who imposes the kremlin regime on the temporarily occupied part of the territory of Ukraine.

The person in question is kremlin propagandist Dmitry Polkovnikov, the head of the Krympatriot Center military organization.

The organization has an extensive network of ‘branches’ that operate under the guise of children's camps in Crimea and the left bank of Kherson region.

The occupation institution is promoting the ideology of ruscism and hatred towards Ukraine among local schoolchildren.

In addition, russian instructors train teenagers in firearms, sabotage and reconnaissance activities, and combat tactics.

In this way, Polkovnikov is fulfilling the kremlin's instructions to prepare the younger generation for war against Ukraine.

It has been documented that the offender visited one of the ‘camps’ in the Kalanchak district of Kherson region, where he urged children to support the occupiers.

Moreover, he encouraged pupils to join the regular units of the russian army, in particular, those currently fighting against the Defense Forces.

In case of refusal to undergo ‘training’ in the occupation institution, children are threatened with expulsion from schools, and their parents are prosecuted by the punitive authorities of russia.

Based on the evidence collected, SSU investigators have served Polkovnikov a notice of suspicion in absentia under two articles of the CCU:

  • 438.1 (violation of the laws and customs of war);
  • 436-2.3 (justification, recognition of the legitimacy, denial of the armed aggression of the russian federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).

The investigation is ongoing to bring him to justice for crimes against Ukrainians.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Kyiv and Kyiv region jointly with investigators of the SSU Office in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.
