SSU serves suspicion notice to head of russian aviation agency who provided civilian aircraft for transporting russian military to frontline

The SSU continues to expose crimes of russian officials involved in unleashing and waging of war against Ukraine.

As a result of an investigation, the SSU collected evidence against the head of russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency, Alexander Neradko.

The sanctioned head of this entity assisted russia’s ministry of defence in deploying occupation groupings towards the state border of Ukraine and to the territory of the occupied Crimea.

For this purpose, the official engaged four russian airlines that provided their aircraft to transport enemy personnel, weapons and ammunition.

From late September to November 2022, with Neradko’s assistance, the aggressor transported over 3,000 military personnel and a large amount of ammunition to Platov airport in Rostov oblast and to Simferopol airport.

Subsequently, these occupation forces were involved in warfare against Ukrainian Defence Forces on the eastern and southern fronts.

Based on the collected evidence, SSU investigators notified the head of russia’s federal air transport agency of suspicion under Articles 27.5 and 437.2 of the CCU (planning, preparation, unleashing and waging of aggressive war).

The suspect is facing up to 15 years in prison.

The investigation was carried out under the supervision of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
