SSU investigates putin’s assistant and rector of russian MFA institute who falsify Ukraine’s history
The Security Service of Ukraine has collected evidence on another two high-ranking officials who are spreading the ideology of ruscism on the occupied territory of Ukraine.
These are putin’s assistant, Vladimir Medinskyi, and rector of the international relations institute of russia’s foreign ministry Anatoliy Torkunov.
According to the investigation, they are co-authors of the russian ‘history textbook for the 11th grade’ – a mandatory element of school curriculum in russia and the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.
The publication includes completely falsified historical events pertaining to the establishment of Ukrainian State.
In the text, the authors also justify russia’s war against Ukraine and ruscist war crimes.
Medinskyi and Torkunov are often guests on russian TV channels, where they support russia’s war against our country.
An examination initiated by the SSU confirmed the facts of the officials’ subversive activity.
Based on the evidence, the SSU notified Medinskyi and Torkunov of suspicion in absentia under two Articles of the CCU:
- 110.2 (encroachment on Ukraine’s territorial integrity and inviolability);
- 28.2, 436-2.3 (justification, recognition as legitimate, denial of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).
Efforts are underway to bring the criminals to justice for their crimes against Ukraine.
The investigation was carried out under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
