SSU serves suspicion notice to UOC-MP postulant who justified russia’s aggression

The SSU exposed another representative of moscow patriarchate’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church, who publicly justified russia’s armed aggression and occupiers’ war crimes.

The offender is a 48-year-old postulant of Holy Dormition Pochayiv Lavra.

The postulant used several profiles on banned russian social networks to actively spread kremlin’s propaganda.

He also praised russia’s top military and political leadership and tried to discredit Ukrainian defenders.

Based on the collected evidence, SSU investigators served the man a notice of suspicion under two Articles of the CCU:

  • 436-2 (justification, recognition as lawful, denial of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants);
  • 111-1 (collaboration).

Court is to decide on a measure of restraint for the suspect.

The investigation is underway.
