SBU announces suspicion to pro-Russian agitator (video)
The SBU announced suspicion to a pro-Russian agitator and spin doctor. He publicly discredited Ukraine’s subjectivity and called for its official extinction.
The SBU cyber experts established that the so-called "political expert" purposefully promoted narratives of the aggressor state in the media. In his speeches on Russian TV channels, interviews in pro-Russian media and posts on social networks, he consistently expressed ideas humiliating Ukraine, its state symbols, language, history, heroes and people.
The pro-Russian spin doctor took part in planned and coordinated information operations against Ukraine. In particular, he supported a campaign organized by a parliamentary party near the US Embassy. As an "expert" of one of the TV channels, which is now under sanctions, he promoted an idea that Ukraine is allegedly "under external control".
The offender is actively used by Russian propaganda structures. He repeatedly spoke on Russia 24 TV channel, sanctioned in Ukraine, and on News Front channel in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions advocating separatism.
According to investigators’ examinations, the instigator purposefully influences the audience with views on Ukraine's inferiority and the need to ruin it. He promotes an idea of creating other entities and joining Russia for a part of our territory.
The offender publicly called for massacres of participants in the Revolution of Dignity and the ATO / Joint Forces operation and their families. He scoffed at the death of activist Kateryna Handziuk. He insulted citizens because of their faith, mocked religious symbols and demanded criminal liability for professing Christianity. He also expressed sympathy for the Nazis, Adolf Hitler, the Soviet Union, the NKVD, and Vladimir Putin's policies.
Searches of offender’s actual and temporary residence in Ivano-Frankivsk and Kyiv took place. As a result, he was served a suspicion notice for encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, violation of equality of citizens depending on their race, nationality, religion, disability and other grounds, production, dissemination of communist, Nazi symbols and propaganda of communist and National Socialist (Nazi) totalitarian regimes.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
The operation was conducted by the SBU Office in Ivano-Frankivsk region under the supervision of the regional prosecutor's office.
