SSU declares another russian commander suspect: he received ‘hero of russia’ for killing civilians in Bucha
The SSU has identified another russian army commander who committed war crimes in Ukraine. This person gave the order to shoot four civilian residents of Bucha.
The perpetrator is lieutenant colonel Aleksandr Dosyagayev, commander of the 2nd battalion of the 104th regiment of the 76th air assault division of russia’s airborne forces.
After the invaders fled from Kyiv region, russia’s highest military and political leadership awarded Dosyagayev the ‘order of courage’ and the ‘hero of russia’ star.
The investigators established that in early March 2022 he had led the actions of enemy paratroopers who captured Bucha.
His subordinate unit took an active part in the so-called ‘cleansing’ and filtration activities aimed at suppressing the resistance movement and intimidating local residents.
During one of these punitive measures, on their commander’s orders, enemy paratroopers shot 4 civilians on the roadway. The victims were a local resident and three volunteers who were passing by in their car.
All victims died on the spot from multiple gunshot wounds.
Based on the evidence collected, SSU investigators have notified Dosyagayev of suspicion under Article 438.2 of the CCU (violation of laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder).
The investigators are verifying the information about his possible death in the war in Ukraine. However, if this is confirmed, it will not be a reason to stop the investigation and identify all the accomplices and perpetrators of the crime.
The SSU Office in Kyiv and Kyiv region is working on the case jointly with the SSU Main Directorate for Internal Security under the procedural supervision of Kyiv Region Prosecutor’s Office.
