SSU investigates putin’s associate Valentina Matvienko, who authorized russia’s war against Ukraine
The SSU has documented new crimes committed by Valentina Matvienko, head of the federation council of russia’s federal assembly, who facilitates the war against Ukraine.
Matvienko is a member of putin’s inner circle and has authorized russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
For this purpose, she signed a decision of the upper house of the russian parliament to bring the aggressor’s troops into the territory of Ukraine.
The official also approved the ratification of agreements on the ‘accession’ of the temporarily occupied parts of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions to russia.
The investigation established that Matvienko coordinates the spread of the kremlin regime in these Ukrainian territories under the guise of their integration into russian ‘legislative field’.
The head of the federation council continues to publicly spread fakes about Ukraine’s Defence Forces and the situation at the front.
During numerous appearances on russian propaganda TV channels, she has denied the existence of Ukraine as a sovereign state and called to capture the entire country.
The SSU-initiated forensic linguistic examination confirmed her criminal activity against Ukraine.
Based on the new evidence, SSU investigators notified Matvienko of suspicion in absentia under two Articles of the CCU:
- 110.3 (encroachment on Ukraine’s territorial integrity and inviolability);
- 436-2.3 (justification, recognition of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine as legitimate, glorification of its participants).
Earlier, the official was declared suspect in absentia under two other Articles of the CCU, including incitement to unleash and wage an aggressive war.
Efforts are underway to bring the criminal to justice for her crimes against Ukraine.
The investigation was carried out under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
