SBU conducts anti-terrorist drills near frontline in Donbas (video)

The SBU conducted two-day anti-terrorist tactical and special trainings in the Joint Forces operation (JFO) area. The final stage of drills took place near the frontline city of Avdiivka.

The trainings took place on the main strategic facility of the city in the near-real conditions. Representatives of regional units of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Joint Forces Headquarters, the National Guard, the National Police, the State Emergency Service, the State Border Guard Service, state authorities and local governments took part in the trainings.

The main purpose of the drills was to verify and increase the level of interagency cooperation in the face of possible subversive and terrorist threats.

The participants worked out an algorithm of joint actions to block the "saboteurs" who, according to the legend of the exercises, planned to carry out a sabotage at the Avdiivka Coke Plant and escape from the city. The security forces carried out a set of operative and search, counter-intelligence and filtering measures to identify and neutralize the maneuver enemies. The coordinated actions of the participants resulted in timely detection and detention of the maneuver enemies. The consequences of the subversive activities were neutralized.

The leadership of the Headquarters of the SBU Anti-Terrorist Center analyzed in detail each stage of the special operation, noting the effectiveness of the forces and means involved. The participants of the drills were also provided with additional recommendations on increasing the level of readiness to counter terrorist threats.
