Ivano-Frankivsk region: SBU conducts anti-terrorist drills in correctional facility (video)
The SBU conducted anti-terrorist drills on the territory of a correctional facility in the Halytskyi district of Ivano-Frankivsk region.
According to the training legend, the convicted militants of the so-called "DNR" took a guard hostage, seized weapons and barricaded themselves in the correctional facility. The "criminals" put forward anti-Ukrainian demands and sought the release for themselves and a leader of the pro-Russian illegal armed formations. At the same time, other convicts committed a riot in the colony.
Units of the SBU Offices, the State Criminal-Executive Service, the National Guard, the National Police, the State Emergency Service, the State Border Guard Service and other counterterrorism authorities were immediately involved in neutralizing the terrorist threat.
After negotiations, the Coordination Group of the SBU Anti-Terrorist Center at the SBU Office decided to take "terrorists" by force and free the hostage. At the same time, the forces of the Cyclone units of the State Criminal-Executive Service pacified the riot, and the State Emergency Service put out the fire committed by the insurgents.
After the drills, the Coordination Group of the SBU Anti-Terrorist Center thoroughly analyzed stages of the drills and determined areas for further improving coordination and increasing the level of readiness of counter-terrorism actors to perform their assigned tasks.
