SBU conducts anti-terrorist drills in Rivne International Airport
On the territory of Rivne International Airport, the SBU conducted special tactical drills to neutralize conditional terrorists who, according to the training legend, hijacked a plane with a crew.
The regional units of the SBU, the National Police, the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection, the National Guard, the State Emergency Service, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service, as well as representatives of executive bodies and local government took part in the drills.
The purpose of the drills was to check and to increase the inter-agency cooperation level on preventing the possible sabotage and terrorist threats.
The participants of the drills worked out an algorithm of joint actions to neutralize the “terrorists” who, according to the training legend, hijacked the An-12 with the plane crew. During the drills, the security forces carried out a set of measures to neutralize the conditional terrorists.
The Coordination Group thoroughly analyzed all stages of the drills and noted the effectiveness of the units involved. The participants were provided additional recommendations to increase the readiness level to counter terrorist threats.
The drills were conducted by the Coordination Group of the Anti-Terrorist Center at the SBU Office in Rivne region.
