Uman city: SBU conducts anti-terrorist drills (video)
In Cherkasy region, the SBU carried out drills to prepare for the annual Jewish celebration of Rosh Hashanah [T.E. Jewish New Year].
According to the training plan, the so-called terrorists planted a bomb in a 9-storey hotel, located on the territory of the historical and cultural center of Rebbe Nachman in Uman. They barricaded themselves in a hotel room.
The so-called terrorists wanted to discredit the Ukraine in the international arena, since Jewish pilgrims come from more than 25 countries to Cherkasy region every year.
The drills were conducted in close-to-real conditions. Officers of the CSO “A” used climbing equipment and detained a terrorist group.
Among the participants of the drills were the SBU, the State Emergency Service and the National Police.
The major aim of drills was to work out the interaction of law enforcement bodies to effectively eliminate terrorist and subversive threats during public events.
The Coordination Group noted that the participants successfully coped with the assigned tasks and organized good interdepartmental cooperation.
