SSU conducted large-scale special tactical training exercises in Chernihiv and Sumy regions. More than 1500 people and 100 vehicles, including UAV, took part in the training.

The training took place in near-real conditions. During the training the security measures on military, infrastructure and other strategic facilities were intensified.  

According to the plot, a conditional subversive group infiltrated to the Chernihiv and Sumy regions. They planned to inflict significant economic damage to the state and destabilize the socio-political situation in the border areas of Ukraine.

For the task performance, the offenders tried to commit sabotage attack on several defense and industrial facilities.

To expose and neutralize the conditional subversive group, the participants conducted a set of operational and investigative, counterintelligence and filtering measures.

On the final stage of training the servicemen conducted successful neutralizing operation in the area of the border checkpoint. During the detention, the criminals committed armed resistance.

SSU, the State Boarder Guard Service, Armed Forces, the National Guard, the State Emergency Service, the National Police units, as well as representatives of executive and local authorities participated in training.

The main objective was to increase the security level in border area. Besides, the participants of the training worked out the interdepartmental interaction algorithm for efficient counteraction to possible terroristic and subversive threats.

After the end of the training the organizers analyzed the level of task performing. Also the directions for further improvement of the operational procedure for preventing and neutralizing of national security threats were determined.
