SSU searches border districts of Chernihiv oblast: hidden arsenals of russian occupiers uncovered

As a result of counter-sabotage efforts in the border areas of Chernihiv region, the SSU uncovered new caches with russian munitions.

Invaders left these arsenals when fleeing from the northern regions due to Ukraine’s counter-offensive.

The seized items include dozens of boxes with projectiles and ammunition for anti-tank weapons.

In one of the settlements of Mena territorial community, the SSU found almost 300 artillery shells, including ammunition for Grad MRLS.

SSU officers also found over 100 shells for hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers in the forest near Chernihiv.

In addition, a Kalashnikov tank machine gun with over 1,500 rounds of ammunition were uncovered at a former checkpoint of russian invaders in Chernihiv district.

In Koryukivka district, an RPG-26 anti-tank rocket launcher and almost 300 rounds of assorted ammunition were found in an abandoned building.

All seized munitions have been handed over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The detection of hidden arsenals with russian weapons was carried out by the SSU Office in Chernihiv region.
