SSU searches representatives of banned political parties: weapons, St. George ribbons and russian flags found

In the framework of counter-sabotage measures in Kyiv, Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih, the SSU carried out searches in the offices and homes of representatives of the banned Communist party and the political party One Rus [Rus Yedyna].

Weapons, St. George ribbons and flags of the aggressor state have been found.

The SSU also uncovered storerooms with pro-kremlin literature, propaganda leaflets with symbols of the USSR totalitarian regime and ‘manuals’ of russian propagandists.

In these ‘guidelines’, ruscists call to support russian occupation groups and offer ‘recommendations’ on a forceful seizure of power in Ukraine.

According to intelligence, the Communist party officials planned to use the whole ‘arsenal’ of propaganda tools to campaign and hold mass events in support of the aggressor in case Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk region are captured.

The seized items have been sent for examination for further procedural actions.

SSU investigators have initiated criminal proceeding under the Article 109 of the CCU (actions aimed at forceful change or overthrow of constitutional order or seizure of state power). The investigation is underway.

The SSU Office in Dnipropetrovsk region has been working on the case together with the SSU National Statehood Protection Department under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office.
